WEEKLY INSPIRATION – WASHINGTON POST

Inspiration this week comes from The Washington Post’s “Favorites” magazine. The cover features letters crafted with paint, LEDS and wood which show great experimentation with typography. The essence captured within the cover includes eating, drinking music and arts. The design creates the word “Favorites” using a fun and unique style with icons that reflect characteristics of each topic.

This design reminds me of  project I had to complete at the beginning of my course. We were asked to create our name from natural objects. It is a fun way to experiment with typography combining different objects together.
