WEEKLY INSPIRATION – FORTNUM & MASON’S BISCUITS

Design inspiration this week comes from Fortnum & Mason’s core range of biscuits. The design draws inspiration from decorative ceramics and fine china, the objects  most found being utilized for tea time. The range of tins feel special and consider that people would want to show them off to their finest china instead of decanting the biscuits onto a plate.

The tins are part of the same family but are unique using their own design style. Its patterns of flowers are varied and flourished to create six unique designs, one for each flavour. The bold blocks of colours don’t match up with the edges of the pattern giving it a sense of freedom. The tins use a combination of metallic and non-metallic colours, the centre of the design featuring the logo is embossed which gives it the main focus point.
